Live Stock Market Updates – Market turns negative, Realty stocks slip

The BSE Realty is the top losing index during pre-lunch hours on Tuesday. It is down by 0.4% at 2075. Oberoi Realty is majorly contributing to the index losses and dragging it to lower levels.

Oberoi Realty is down 0.9% at Rs 374.95 per share.

Other stocks viz. DLF is down by 0.4% at Rs 191.35 per share, The Phoenix Mills is down 1.7% at Rs 442 per share, Godrej Properties is down 0.8% at Rs 550.25 per share, HDIL is down 1.1% at Rs 88.95 per share and Unitech is also trading lower by 0.7% at Rs 5 per share.

Sobha, Indiabulls Real Estate and Omaxe are some realty stocks that are trading in green territory.

At 1 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,296 down 14 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9656 down 1 point. A total of 74 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 48 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE mid-cap Index is trading up 0.21% at 14,848, while BSE small-cap Index is trading up 0.25% at 15,693.

Some buying activity is seen in IT, Consumer Durables and Oil & Gas indices, while Realty and Bankex index are showing weakness on BSE.

Tata Power, Tata Motors, IOC and ICICI Bank are among the gainers, whereas Lupin, HDFC, GAIL and Axis Bank are losing on the NSE.

The INDIA VIX is up 1.1% at 10.7.

    Traders prefer trading in various segments of the market simultaneously and for this they need live market updates because trading for multiple stocks at the same time is very risky. As a traders I prefer taking services from stock market advisory and this is really helpful.

Oil prices dip on further rise in US drilling, demand slowdown

Oil prices dipped on Monday, weighed down by a continuing expansion in U.S. drilling that has helped to maintain high global supplies despite an OPEC-led initiative to cut production to tighten the market. Signs of faltering demand have also prompted weakening sentiment, dropping prices to levels comparable to when the output cuts were first announced late last year. Brent crude futures were down 13 cents, or 0.3 percent, at $47.24 per barrel at 0406 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were down 15 cents, or 0.3 percent, at $44.59 per barrel. Prices for both benchmarks are down by around 14 percent since late May, when producers led by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) extended their pledge to cut production by 1.8 million barrels per day (bpd) by an extra nine months until the end of the first quarter of 2018.
